The powerful people, including politicians, lawyers and journalists tend to live in pleasant, secure neighbourhoods. They usually do not have first-hand experience of the insecurity, threats and fear that poorer, less powerful and more vulnerable people experience in everyday life. It is unacceptable for the powerful, comfortable and secure elite to sacrifice the security of those less fortunate.
