5.6 Individuals are responsible for their own actions alone

We must distinguish between group responsibility and individual responsibility. A family, nation, religion, civilization or company has some responsibility for its past actions. It certainly has the New Magna Carta Mediumresponsibility to put right the harmful consequences of past actions. But we must never blame individuals for the actions of others. A new baby should be born free to be itself, not burdened with the sins of its parents, ancestors or members of its religious, national, ethnic or racial group.
